Melissa Prandi Children Foundation

Our Mission is to fund the education of students in academic and vocational programs until graduation or completion of program requirements; empower young mothers through micro-grants and training to be self-sufficient and economically independent; provide health education and materials; and to offer “Service and Safari for the Soul” trips for cross-cultural understanding and awareness.

The MPCF was founded by Melissa Prandi in late 2021 in partnership with Rotarians from Kampala, Uganda and San Rafael, California. The Foundation has worked to provide almost 100 full scholarships to educate Ugandan youth at the primary, secondary, and university levels; brought food and needed home goods to those in the poorest Ugandan neighborhoods; and provided funding and materials to nursery schools, health clinics, and orphanages.

Whether using funds to build bathrooms and showers; creating curriculum and providing resources leading to gainful employment; or nurturing lifelong learners, your dollars are well spent. We have accomplished much in the 18 months since our founding and our efforts continue with your help. Our supporters, volunteers, and staff put their hearts and souls in all we have accomplished. We operate with the single goal of allowing all the children to have a choice in the way their lives evolve.
