Dean Landy

Driven by a conviction to make a lasting change, Dean founded One Heart with the aim of providing holistic, long-term support to vulnerable children, and his humanitarian efforts have broken the poverty cycle for hundreds of children, empowering them to reach their full potential.

Based in Nairobi, Dean is also the Group Head of Urban Planning and Design at Rendeavour, Africa’s largest Urban developer, and oversees the masterplanning and design of 6 new cities covering over 35,000 acres of new urban development across Rendeavours portfolio in Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. 

With 25 years of experience, Dean, a former partner and architect in one of Australia's largest design firms, is renowned for his strategic thinking and place lead approach to urban design.

A thought leader in sustainable and community development, Dean authored 'Creating Vibrant Communities,' a groundbreaking book guiding the creation of 15-minute cities. His global speaking engagements reflect his commitment to fostering healthier, more sustainable, and livable urban environments.

Dean's impact is evident in numerous industry accolades, including the AIA Presidents Award, Young Alumni of the Year Award, and recognition as a finalist for the Property Council of Australia 'Industry Impact Award'—all testament to his global contributions in creating stronger communities and improving the quality of people’s lives.
